Braised Potatoes with Mid Wings

This Braised Potatoes with Mid Wings recipe is an adaptation from here . Exact quantity of the ingredients are not stated in the original recipe. I just cooked this based on my intuition for the quantity of the respective ingredients. Not a bad job! We like this dish afterall.

Braised Potatoes with Mid Wings

Ingredients:
3 medium size potatoes, quartered
1 white onion, sliced
12 mid wings
about 1-1/4 cup water

Seasoning-1:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp corn flour

Seasoning-2:
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar

Method:

Marinate chicken with seasoning-1 for about an hour. Do not discard the marinade after that.

Heat about 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, sauté white onion till translucent. Dish up and set aside.

Add more oil into the pan and heat up. Fry potatoes till golden brown. Dish up and set aside.

Leave about 2 tablespoon of oil in the pan and fry the mid wings till fragrant. Add in the remaining marinade and seasoning-2. Stir-fry for a while. Transfer to a pot.

Add the potatoes and onion into the pot.

Add water into the pot. Bring to a boil and lower the heat.

Simmer for 45 mins.

Serve hot.

Nice with rice. I had some leftover which I warmed up and ate for dinner, it tasted much better than the freshly cooked dish.
